Some brief preceding statements – Many of the earlier blogs were diary like but with some context and landscape history content. Compiling this inventory has been interesting for me as I had forgotten about some things mentioned. The things I have written about reflect my personality and interests: interest in wildlife, plants and trees, the weather, regional overview, historical context (sense of continuity), dislike of bigotry (religious or otherwise), political independence, evoking an image of the past for its inherent interest value and to inform the present, etc.
